ABOUT

The impact of the Neo-liberal Policies on marginalized communities is profound. While they silently watch their worlds fall apart, the rich make merry at their cost. Their resources are being appropriated to the ‘MNCs and Global Business giants’ for profit and they watch not being able to do nothing at all to prevent the slowly approaching disaster towards them. They are forced to let go of their rights to the land, forests and become laborers on their own land forcing them into a permanent state of Alienation. They are forced to let go of their rights to the land, forests and become laborers on their own land forcing them into a permanent state of Alienation. This blog was started off to highlight opinions about the marginalized communities in India, especially about the tribes and Dalits

Initially, started out in 2009 with an objective of being the voice of the tribal communities of India, with special focus on the North-east, it has been able to attract the attention of many bloggers and have expanded to other areas. It is not only restricted to India, but have also consciously sought to talk about issues of South-Asia and the World. Moreover, it also includes a section called the history project, where the author seeks to archive some of the ‘lost histories’ of his own tribe-the Miris of Assam.

Please note that all the opinions mentioned in the blog, if not mentioned otherwise are, personal views of the author and does not represent the views of the organisations he works for.
